MEET THE ROBINSONS

If you go I highly recommend the 3D version. A great adventure made more dimensional with the 3D. Kids liked it but I probably liked it more. Great production design [like ROBOTS].

300 Great popcorn flick with unique execution. No deep story here; it's extreme on all fronts as it is a graphic novel come to the big screen. It's not intended as a historical documentary. Rating: ****

THE NEW WORLD

Not your typical 3 act film. "Visual poetry that touches the soul, Terrence Malick's latest work of art continues the director's ability to present hypnotic imagery that not only remains as beautiful as a painting, but stirs the senses and gives one an almost extraordinary feel of the time and place." Some may find it too artsy. Q'Orianka Kilcher plays Pocahontas; utterly convincing and she goes through a wide range of character development. She was only 14 during production. She holds her own against Colin Farrell and Christian Bale. Great efforts to portray the Native Americans and their culture as authentic as possible.

AUGUST RUSH

It's on Blu-ray now. Like any good flick you gotta have a good supply of suspension-of-disbelief. With that you will enjoy this story of music's magic and its' power to unite.
