True story: There was a girl I liked in grade school.  My family planned a trip (actually another one of my dad’s medical/political conventions) that would bring us to the same town where she was spending the summer with family.  Her parents learned about this and extended a cordial invitation to our family to come visit.  We politely said Yes but somehow my dad’s busy schedule kept us from traveling just a few more miles for this visit.

It was no big deal for us, I guess, but not so for my friend’s family.  They were so certain that we were coming and even had a welcoming banner hung across the main street announcing our arrival!  Needless to say, I felt awful and was so embarrassed.

The Bible says that from God’s perspective, you are already seated with him in heavenly places.  In other words, he is already expecting your arrival.  His posture demonstrates the power and effectiveness of the salvation he has already given you—saved by grace through faith.  He is 100 percent sure about it!  Start talking, thinking, and acting like you will live eternally because you will!  He’s already expecting you.
